During the month of October the United Kingdom focuses its attention on the historic and contemporary contributions and achievements of African & Caribbean peoples and communities. Over the past 10 years Black History Month (BHM) has grown in popularity and has caught the attention of wider society.
To mark BHM 2011 THE STATE OF BLACK BRITAIN SYMPOSIUM will be hosting a special celebratory service that acknowledges the place and contribution of spirituality in African & Caribbean communities to wider society.
The Revd Michael White (The Tab, Lewisham) will lead the service which will also feature A Dot comedian and the New Testament church of God (NTCOG) Croydon District Youth Choir.
On this auspicious occasion we will be joined by a members of the UK's African & Caribbean diplomatic corp, senior Church and and other faith Leaders, Politicians, Civic Leaders and representatives from the statutory, voluntary, public and private sectors.
The Service of Celebration is a ticket only event. You can request a ticket by completing the request form below.
A retiring offering will be collected for the HELPING HANDS TRUSTS.
Traditional attire encouraged!!!
